East Coast Trip: New Jersey

After a couple days in Philly, we drove out to New Jersey for Matt's cousin's wedding.  I kind of like the fact that it's so easy to drive to different states when you're back East.  This was my first time meeting so many people from Matt's dad's side.  He tried to prep me on who everyone was, but it was pretty overwhelming!  I knew a few from our wedding and recognized some others from Facebook, but if Matt gave me a quiz, I'd totally fail.  Everyone was so nice though that I felt like I always knew them, and of course everyone couldn't wait to meet Leah.

A big treat for Leah was that Matt's brother's family also attended, so she got to see her New York cousins!  She was really well behaved during the wedding and made friends with everyone sitting around her.  After the ceremony, we went back to the hotel and hung out for a bit before everyone else left for the reception.

We stayed at Hamilton Park Hotel.  The room was a little bit on the small side and they charged us $10 for a pack and play, but it served it's purpose for the night.  Leah decided she was finally going to crawl regularly rather than army crawl today.

The next day, we went to Demarest Farms to visit the pumpkin patch.  Leah was so happy to see all the other kids, and she loved touching the pumpkins.  She had a huge smile on her face the entire time.

Afterwards, we headed to Matt's chidhood neighborhood, and he showed me his old house.  He was amazed how small everything seemed now compared to when he was a child.

Last stop in New Jersey, Nanuet Restaurant for pizza.  This was another childhood memory for Matt.  It was fun seeing him relive all these moments.  This restaurant has been around for about 50 years!

Next stop... New York City!!
