Holiday Gift Giving Ideas 2014: Subscription Boxes

Still looking for a last minute gift? Shopping malls and centers are becoming crazy crowded, and the holiday shipping deadline has passed for many stores. Something super easy and fun to give are subscription boxes! You can find a box for everyone, and you can either print out a gift card or email it to the recipient! Here are some I like:

For Him: Bespoke Post

Bespoke Post provides limited-edition men's lifestyle gear centered around themes such as food, drinks, style and grooming. You can purchase one box for $55, gift cards that start at $55, or you can purchase a box with a gift card starting at $135. {Psst.. use the code LONELY for 30% off your first box}

For Her: Birch Box & Stitch Fix

There are a ton of subscription boxes for women, but I most frequently hear about Birch Box. Each box contains five beauty samples from high-end brands like Benefit, DDF, Kiehl's and more. Gift subscriptions start at just $30 for 3 months!

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Their stylists pick items they think you will like based on your profile, you try them on at home, and send back what you don't like. The service costs $20, but that fee is deducted from any items you keep. Gift cards start at $20.

For Moms, Babies, and Kids: The Honest Company, Citrus Lane, and Kiwi Crate

The Honest Company provides natural and non-toxic diaper bundles for babies and home essential bundles filled with items moms would love to use. They also have pre-packaged gift sets and beautifully made diaper cakes!

Citrus Lane provides boxes containing 4-5 items such as snacks, toys, and books for newborns up to 5 years. These products are reviewed and recommended by real moms. A 3 month gift subscription starts at $81, or you can choose from a variety of other gift options. {Psst.. use the code FIRST for 50% off your first box}

Kiwi Crate provides all the materials you need for activities designed to help kids discover, explore, and create. The crates are designed for kids ages 3-8 and are centered around themes such as music, gardening, and dinosaurs. You can gift a subscription or give a gift card. {Psst.. use the code LASTCHEER for 50% off the first month.}

Hope this helps with any last minute gifts!

Holiday Gift Giving Ideas 2014: Tile App

Have your kids misplaced your keys or wallet or bag, and you end up stuck in the house spending hours searching for the item? Or your kids are going crazy at a restaurant and you leave in a rush and leave your wallet? Tile may be the perfect solution for you. I actually just learned about this from a friend who got his backpack stolen, and he was able to find his items through Tile!

The Tile is a tiny "chip" you can hook or attach to pretty much anything. Here are just a few reasons why I think Tile is so cool! If you misplace your keys in the house, the Tile will play a melody until you find it! The app also records the last place your phone detected your Tile so you can retrace your steps. The best feature about this app is that the more people who use it, the greater the search range becomes. What?! How is that possible you say? If another user walks past your lost item, your phone will be updated with the location. That person has no idea he/she just helped you.

Holiday Gift Giving Ideas 2014: Macaroni Frames

Another cool company I discovered at Club MomMe Family Fall Fest was Macaroni Frames. They specialize in "making your memories tangible, frame shopping hassle-free, and the presentation effortless and personal." If you're anything like me, the majority of your photos are stored on your computer or phone and pretty much stay there. My parents are actually the ones who will print out photos I email them and give me copies which end up piling up on the counter. When I first opened my Macaroni Frame box, my first thought was how I didn't really want to ruin the cute packaging. The lazy part of me was pretty happy when I saw our family Frozen photo nicely framed and all I had to do was decide where to put it. I think these frames make such a great gift, and I'm glad I found them just in time of the holidays!

They are also offering limited edition holiday wrapping like in the photos below. The photos don't do the packing justice. The tie has a beautiful gold sheen!

Macaroni Frames has kindly offered readers FREE shipping on purchases with the code KKGIFTGUIDE through 1/1/15! Place orders by 12/18/2014 to ensure delivery by Christmas. Currently, they do not ship internationally. Hurry and get started on that shopping!

Holiday Gift Giving Ideas 2014: Foodstirs

It's that time of the year again! I tend to over think what kind of gifts to give my friends and family because I want them to be fun, meaningful, and useful. I want to share some things I found recently that I think would make great gifts! A couple weeks ago, I attended Club MomMe Family Fall Fest. If you've never heard of it, I encourage you to attend one of their events. There's food, giveaways, fun activities for the kids, and best of all you get to discover so many cool companies. One of those companies that grabbed my attention was Foodstirs.

The past couple months, Leah has been interested in "helping" me cook in the kitchen. I will let her stir the bowl or pour ingredients into the pot, and she loves it. When I saw the Foodstirs table, I knew this would be something fun for our family. Foodstirs is a "food crafting" kit designed for kids 5-12. You can choose an individual kit or subscribe to a monthly series. Each kit provides everything you need to create super cute edible projects like brownie popsicles, gingerbread people, and more! Foodstirs designed these kits to teach cooking skills, encourage kids to expand their palate, and best of all create fun memories. I encourage you to visit their website to learn more!

Foodstirs is giving readers a $5 discount on purchases using the code KELLYKRONICLES through 12/31/2014. Have fun making yummy treats with your kids and get them as gifts for their little friends! I wanted to post photos of Leah making her first recipe, but I wanted to get this post out ASAP so you can take advantage of their kind offer!

Gift Giving Ideas: ArtKive

Unfortunately, this idea is actually just a teaser because I don't think the product will be ready for Christmas.  This is a super cute idea if you have kids so bookmark the website ArtKive and download the app!  Kids come home from daycare/school with art projects pretty much everyday.  I already have a stack of "artwork" from Leah that I've been collecting, and I was trying to figure out where I'd eventually store all of it as she grows up. This app allows you to take a photo of the art or project, label it, and store it.  Afterwards, you can use the images to create an album or other type of keepsake.  You don't have to feel guilty for throwing away your child's art!

Gift Giving Ideas: OMG! Another Awesome Use for Instagram

I just found out about Castagram last night, and I already made a purchase for myself - oops.  Although I already have people in mind to give these to too.  This site let's you make a custom case for your iPhone, iPod, or Samsung Galaxy using your Instagram or Facebook photos!  My current iPhone case has a picture of Leah when she was a newborn, and I was thinking about getting a new one because it has a small crack which keeps snagging my clothes.  Can't wait to get mine in the mail!

GiltCity.com has a special where you can purchase it for $15-35 (original price starts at $34.99).  You can use my referral link and get an additional 20% off!  So um yeah... pretty good deal.  I also just realized that I have signed up for way too many of these types of sites.

Here's the link for the referral: www.giltcity.com/invite/154576814ajy3gggr9z9

Gift Giving Ideas: A Different Kind of Photo Album

I've been in full Christmas shopping mode the past couple days thanks to Cyber Monday.  I no longer have the patience to brave the crowds, so I mostly do everything online.  I've found some cool stuff out there, and I'll post them to hopefully give you guys ideas too!

Photos are always a popular and sentimental gift to give loved ones whether they be on mugs, ornaments, albums, calendars, etc.  Instead of the usual photo gift idea, check out Stickygram!  Stickygram takes the photos you've created through Instagram and creates photo magnets!  You get 9 magnets for $14.99 and free shipping.  Each magnet is about the size of how your Instagram photo looks on your phone.  I just ordered some yesterday, and I can't wait to get them!

If you're interested, use the code FRIENDEVUL and get $2 off your first purchase! Enjoy!
