4 Months!

Leah turns 4 months today!! She's a size 1 diaper and coming in at 24.8 inches (73%) and 13lb 7.5 oz (50%). She so alert and interactive now. Her eyes will follow me as I walk around the kitchen. She responds to me when I'm talking and she laughs hysterically when she sees herself in the mirror. She smiles when other people, even strangers, smile at her, and she babbles all the time. She also finally became a great sleeper! I had to do a little bit of nap training to get her to nap longer than 30-45 minutes. The most she cried though was probably 7 minutes. Sunday night we put her in her crib to sleep for the night for the first time. After 2 nights, she slept through the whole night (8:30pm-7:30am)! Woohoo!

She rolled from her tummy to back at 14 weeks.

She's trying really hard to roll from back to tummy.

She has started to grab at things. And today she even helped me turn the pages of her book when I was reading to her!

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Leah loves looking at herself in the mirror.

San Diego

Matt had a work meeting in San Diego, so we decided to make a trip out of it for the weekend.  We stayed at the Grande Colonial La Jolla.  It was a really cute, historical hotel right next to the beach.  The only tough part about the hotel was to get to our room we had to go down stairs!  We had to coordinate everytime we left the room how to carry the stroller, baby gear, car seat, etc.

Friday, Matt went to his meeting during the day.  I walked around La Jolla with Leah and sat by the pool.  That night we met up with Jim, Jennifer, Ryan, and Jules for dinner at a Mexican restaurant.  It was really yummy and Leah did great chilling in the car seat.  She's become so good at going to restaurants.

Saturday, we went over to Jim and Jennifer's house for lunch.  Karen and Florence also came down.  It was a nice relaxing day to just hang out and have everyone get to spend some time with Leah.

Terrance's Wedding

Leah attended her first wedding today. The wedding was at the same church Matt and I got married. It was fun to see Lori, the wedding coordinator for the church, and now show her Leah. How time flies! I was nervous how Leah would be at the wedding. Luckily, there was a bunch of other kids and babies making noise there too - so I didn't feel so bad!

The wedding ceremony started an hour late. Leah got a little fussy in her car seat, so I had to take her out of the stroller and stand in the back. Because the ceremony was late, the reception ended up starting like 2 hours late. As I was looking forward to having an adult beverage, the open bar pretty much closed the minute we got there! I guess since the wedding was running so late, the bar still closed at whatever set time was in the contract!  Leah was really fussy towards the end since it was way past her bedtime. After we ate our dinner we headed out.

Cedars-Sinai

My work is prepping for their Go-Live. Since Matt is helping out, they put us up at the SLS! I was able to go visit my coworkers and bring Leah as moral support. Everyone loved her and all fought to hold her. I forgot to take pictures of everyone with her, but I did take a few. I dressed her up in her scrubs so that she could look the part. :)

Crystal Meets Leah

Crystal finally got to meet Leah. I haven't seen Crystal since the baby shower so it was really nice to catch up especially since she's now pregnant! Yay! Another friend for Leah! Their baby is probably going to be 3x bigger than Leah given how tall the two of them are. We ordered Thai food which was delicious and pretty much chatted the whole time until it was time to put Leah to bed.

Mammoth

Leah has been quite the traveler recently. This weekend we went to Mammoth for a friend's birthday. I was nervous how Leah would do on the drive and if the high altitude would affect her. She slept through most of the drive and we stopped frequently for breaks and feedings. Since high altitude can be dehydrating I fed her a little more than usual. I also got to dress Leah up in the snowsuit outfit Crystal gave her at my baby shower.

Saturday, we visited the Wallasch's in the early evening. Tyler did great with Leah. It was fun catching up with Marianna and getting excited over Crystal's baby. Saturday night, we went to Jon Saluta's birthday party. What a difference a year makes. Last year, we went to the house, celebrated there then headed to Hyde until the wee hours. This year we showed up at 7pm and left after 1 hour to put Leah to bed.
